Raspberry Pi - Saturday 4 June 11am - 4pm

After the stellar success of our previous event during British Science Week, Guildford Library is hosting a brand new Jam!  We've invested in new supporting technology including more monitors and a local network to make things even better than last time.  Come along and learn a thing or two about your Pi(s), bring as many of your own projects as you can to show off or get help with, or just have a play on one.

This event is for all ages.  (A Raspberry Pi, for those of you who don't know, is an astonishingly cheap and small computer that can be used in all kinds of ingenious projects).  Bring your own lunch.

Code Club session Friday 28 August

Read, Watch, Play #biographyread Tuesday 25 April

This month's Read, Watch, Play theme is  #biographyread and includes reading an author's autobiography  Rainbow's end by Lauren St John or a biography about a famous person  Joanna Lumley : the biography by Tim Ewbank and Stafford Hildred.  Referring to Who's Who and the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, which is available for free on our online reference shelf , to find information about a famous person.  Maybe you prefer to watch a biopic: Gandhi or The Theory of Everything it all encompasses Read, Watch, Play.
