Drop In Makercart Volunteer Training Day - 16 July 2016

Guildford Library now has a Makercart: a pop-up mobile makerspace with a 3D printer, digital cutter, electronics, micro-controllers and robotics. We’re now looking for volunteers to get involved and help us develop and deliver a programme of summer events.
If you are interested come to Guildford Library on 16 July from 11am to 3pm to find out more about the Makercart program, makerspace project and ask questions! In this session you’ll get the chance to:
Learn how to set up and use the equipment.
             Meet other volunteers.
Build and play with the Meccanoid G15 robot.
We are also recruiting volunteers to help us deliver our Children’s Summer Maker Programme on  28, 30 July and 4 August.

Surrey Libraries are running Digital Friday events starting on 26 June 2015 and will be held on the last Friday of every month at Guildford Library . Digital Friday is a programme of events which will take place on the last Friday of the month at Guildford library.  The aim is to establish the library service's reputation as making interesting digital things happen, to make contacts within relevant local organisations, and to build a list of people willing to act either as steering group members or as volunteers for a possible makerspace. If you would like to add your name to the list, please email: virtuallibrary@surreycc.gov.uk This blog is to share information about our Digital Friday events.
