This month's Read, Watch, Play theme is #playread and includes reading or watching a play Lend Me A Tenor or Much ado about nothing borrowed from Performing Arts Library Referring to Oxford Music Online which includes Grove Music Online, The Oxford Companion to Music, Oxford Dictionary of Music and Colin Larkin's Encyclopedia of Popular Music; or listening to the music score of the play on Naxos Music Library, which are available for free on our online reference shelf

Get involved with Mozfest 2016

Mozfest is an event happening in London from 28-30 th October. It’s a diverse, highly interactive event with something for everyone, including a science fair of inspiring ideas and projects, and participant led-sessions, including interactive sessions where participants can learn something new or share their knowledge; small group breakout discussions where bright minds debate the most pressing issues facing the Internet today; or design sprints dedicated to hands-on making, hacking and producing a ‘thing’. Next Digital Friday Event

Our next Digital Friday event is a self-publishing session on 31 July 10:00 to 13:00 which will be held in the Seminar Room at Guildford Library. This event will give an overview of self publishing. The event will focus on eBook publishing. The aim of the morning is to give you some ideas of how to go forward and publish your book. She oversees the ebook creation and distribution processes, as well as the quality assurance procedure. Code Club session Friday 28 August

Are you between 8 and 12, and want to know more about computer coding? We are hoping to start a Code Club as part of our Digital Friday initiative. It would be at Guildford Library, and we will start with a one-off FREE session on Friday 28 August between 4pm and 6pm .
